Itinerary
Board your deluxe Starr Motorcoach this morning and start in Perkasie, PA with a tour of the Pearl S. Buck House. Pearl S. Buck was a Pulitzer and Nobel Award-winning author, a humanitarian, and an activist. The Pearl S. Buck House, a National Historic Landmark museum in Bucks County, PA, was the home of Pearl S. Buck and her family. The beautiful and iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse contains a rich, intact collection from the extraordinary (the typewriter on which she wrote The Good Earth) to the ordinary (a closet full of board games her family played).
Next, head to nearby Lahaska, PA for lunch at the Cock ‘N Bull Restaurant, the flagship restaurant of Peddler’s Village. The Cock ‘n Bull serves traditional American classics in a charming colonial setting. Savor comfort food favorites such as chicken pot pye, beef burgundy, and traditional turkey plates.
The afternoon is yours to explore Peddler’s Village on your own. Follow the winding brick paths of the charming Village to discover the best in apparel, accessories, home goods, furniture, fine art and handcrafted items, books, toys and games, and plenty of gifts and collectibles. More than 90 percent of our 60+ specialty shops and boutiques are small, locally owned businesses.
Peddler’s Village offers many events during the year like the annual “Scarecrows in the Village” Festival and “Holidays in the Village.”
Late afternoon departure for home.
