Then enjoy some free time at The Strip District, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, and is a hub for those shopping for food, spirits or coffee, and Pittsburgh sports gear.
This afternoon, take a ride on the Duquesne Incline. Glide 400 feet above Pittsburgh’s three rivers on this historic funicular, one of only a few remaining in the country. The iconic red cable cars climb the hillside of Mt. Washington and take you to the Observation Deck at the upper station, where you’ll experience an incredible skyline view.

Day 3 – Fallingwater w/lunch – Phipps Conservatory – Dinner Cruise
Depart Pittsburgh this morning for a tour of Frank Lloyd Wrights’ Fallingwater. Tours at Fallingwater discuss the house, Frank Lloyd Wright’ architecture and the integration of the house with its beauty and natural landscape. All tours through Fallingwater are guided tours led by professional interpreters. There is a 1/4 mile gradual downhill walk outdoors, on a gravel driveway, from the Visitor Center to Fallingwater with a marvelous first view. You will become aware of the rhythmic interplay between the interior and exterior spaces by the numerous terraces, open-air walkways and unexpected view of the trees and water as you move through the house.
A boxed lunch will be included with your visit to Fallingwater.
Returning to Pittsburgh, enjoy a tour of the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Set amidst one of Pittsburgh’s largest greenspaces, Schenley Park, Phipps Conservatory stands as a cultural and architectural centerpiece of the city’s Oakland neighborhood. Explore the beauty and wonders of nature at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, encompassing 15 acres including the historic 14-room glasshouse and 23 distinct gardens.
In recent decades, Phipps has evolved into one of the region’s most vibrant, thriving cultural attractions, bringing fresh perspectives and artists into our historic glasshouse environment. Phipps has also become a strong advocate for advanced green-building practices, sustainable gardening and a new environmental awareness.
End the day with a Dinner Cruise along Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers. Sit back and watch the river go by as you enjoy a grand dinner buffet. Experience the best way to see Pittsburgh from this grand riverboat. The captain narrates the sights to make your visit to Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers complete. Stroll up to the third deck and enjoy the breathtaking views of Pittsburgh. (B,L,D)
